POST COVID-19 CLIENT EXPERIENCE
We are delighted to, soon be welcoming you back to the salon. It has been a long time coming; we hope that you and those close to you have remained safe and healthy over the past few months.
We are as excited as you are to, at long last, be able to work our magic on your hair!
Here at Gregory Dean we have always taken pride in our customer service and client experience.
whilst the journey through your appointment will be slightly different in the immediate return, we will be doing everything that we can to ensure that you have the relaxing, enjoyable all round wonderful experience that you truly deserve after such a testing few months.
In order to keep, you, our staff and ourselves safe there will be some changes in the short term which I will detail below.
- Opening Hours – The salons will be open 7 days a week and the hours will be extended. Your stylist will be working different days to normal in order to reduce traffic in salons and keep you safe and distanced from others as much as possible. See full details at www.gregorydean.co.uk
- Correct Booking – Please join the waiting list by WhatsApp messaging the salon on +441702808368. Ensure that you have requested all of the services that you will need at the time of booking including Olaplex and Toners as we will not be able to squeeze these services in as we ordinarily would due to controlling timings tightly with view to control the number of people in the salon at any one time.
- New services – Remember that you may need to book slightly differently to how your ordinarily would due to the extended time since your last appointment. We have put together a post COVID service menu to help you understand what you should be booking, the timing and the cost of these services. If you are unsure what you will need simply send a picture of your hair via whats app and we can advise.
- this is a concern.
- Prepayment/Re-booking – Our front of house team will call in advance to collect a deposit. Please ensure that you have a bank card to make payment in order to minimise cash transactions. Our front of house team will call you to re-book following your salon visit.
- Deposits/cancellations – we have introduced a deposit/cancelation policy, please see details at the above address. You will be called to collect payment, in full, prior to your appointment.
- Gregory Teen discounts – We will not be offering Gregory Teen discount in the short term, our teen clients are of course still welcome but will be charged at the regular price for that stylist.
- Time in salon – Please ensure that you are not in a hurry, your time in the salon will be longer than usual due to the new procedures and we will be unable to cut corners to speed up the appointment. (the cost of the appointment will be as booked and will not be reduced should you need to leave early and cut the appointment short.
- Solo appointments – We ordinarily love that many of you come in with friends and family and often synchronise your visits, however, while working under these restrictions, we will only be able to have people in the salon while they are actually having their hair done and you will not be able to have anyone wait with you. If you have a cut and colour and a friend or family member has a cut then they could not arrive and leave with you, they would need to arrive and leave at the start and finish of their own appointment, as would you.
- Children – Our younger clients are always welcome, however they will need to be of an age that they can be in the salon unaccompanied by a parent. Their services will be charged at full price.
- Pre Salon Preparation – As we adapt to our new normal we need to ask for you to make a few considerations prior to your visit.
- Shampoo – If you wish to limit your time and interactions in salon and you are having a cut with no colour, you may wash your hair prior to arrival. If you would like to indulge in the famous Gregory Dean shampoo then you are of course welcome to do so.
- Late arrival – We understand that there are many reasons, out of your control, that you could run late for your appointments and ordinarily we are masters at squeezing things in and around to cater for this. However, while we are working under these restrictions we have to stick to our appointment times, so late arrival will mean a reduced service so that we do not run over the allocated time. The cost of your service will NOT reduce along with any reduction in services due to late arrival.
- Queue outside – There will be no waiting area so please wait outside or in your car. Your stylist will greet you outside
- Mask – You will need to wear a mask for the duration of your appointment, we can provide this or you can wear one that you are comfortable wit. We cannot guarantee that it will not be stained with hair colour so please consider a disposable if
- Sanitise – You will be asked to sanitise your hands with the sanitisers provided.
- Refreshments – You will need to keep your mask on at all times in salon. As such we will be serving bottled water only for the time being as you could not enjoy a cup of tea or coffee whilst adhering to current rules.
- Magazines – We have replaced the paper versions with digital subscriptions. Remember to bring your own device, connect to our complementary WIFI, scan the QR code displayed in the salon and enjoy your favorite publications free of charge and free of touch!
- Cash – Payments will have been taken in advance where possible but please ensure that you have a card with you to pay any balance due and avoid cash where possible.
- Gowns – If you would prefer not to wear a gown then please wear a t-shirt that you would not mind becoming stained with hair colour. Your gown will be freshly washed and used only for you.
- Salon layout – You will notice that the furniture has been moved in the salons to accommodate social distancing regulations and there are additions such as Perspex dividers, sneeze guards, hand sanitisers etc so things will look a little different to what you are used to.
- Personal protective Equipment – We have invested a huge amount of time and consideration preparing for our return and educating ourselves on the most appropriate and effective PPE. We will be wearing masks, visors, disposable aprons, gloves and much more. For full details on the measures we will be taking to keep you safe please see the post titled “YOUR safety is OUR priority”
- There is a £5 surcharge for PPE. We recognise that this is not ideal but please understand that the cost of delivering our service has risen drastically with all of the new regulations, this is only temporary and as and when things return to normal this surcharge will no longer be in place.
